We are Nicholas Brigham Schmuhl and Liz Vanderwerff and we live on 6.5 acres south of Stoughton. We are the creative duo behind Cat Fish Clay.

We have nearly 60 apple trees, an expansive lawn, and are right on the Yahara River. Seems like a good excuse to throw an apple-picking hoedown.

Yes, yes and NO! If you are coming to Applecamp, please RSVP so we have a sense of who is coming.

Please do not bring your dog. Our dog is friendly with people but not with other dogs.

No. The only thing we do to the apple trees is prune every winter.

Yes! Please consider coming on Saturday, September 12 for a day of cider pressing. You can press your own juice and/or help us press a small batch of hard cider to be enjoyed next year.

We have an old-school press and will (hopefully) have volunteers stationed to grind and press apples for you to take home.

Please bring your own vessels!

There will be a portal potty available to transport you to another dimension.

We are seeking to borrow additional shade tents and water coolers for the weekend.

Whatever makes you feel fabulous! And, we recommend close-toed shoes in the orchard. There are wasps flying low, getting drunk on windfalls. They are typically harmless but better to be safe than sorry.

We will keep a close eye on the weather as the date approaches. If it’s spotty rain, we will party on. If it’s severe weather, we will need to postpone certain activities but will resume apple-picking & partying after it passes. Please RSVP so we can notify you of any significant changes at the last minute.

You are welcome to come out and pick on your own throughout September. Bring your own tote. We will have the cider press set up if you would like to press your own juice.
